Anatomy of a wave (crest, trough, wave height/length and frequency)
Wave Energy- the motion of the ocean, caused mainly by wind
The interaction between ocean water and the bottom of the ocean in shallow water
Tsunamis
Longshore Drift and Rip Currents
Groins, Sand Dunes and Barrier Beaches

Pearson Online Science

I know many of you at home and your kids here at school are frustrated with the Pearson Online Science activities and them NOT saving!

I too am frustrated, and have our rep from Pearson working on the issue. Our success rate has drastically improved, but there are still some glitches in the system. We hope to have it resolved by next week.

As of now NONE of the online assignments are being graded, but they are simply practice of the material we studied and practice in using the online component of the Pearson curriculum.

Wednesday- Lesson 1-Chapter 2 Exploring the Ocean
We will work on book pages 40-42

Thursday- Online Science assignment Chapter 2 Lesson 1

Friday- LAB Sailing Saline- comparing different saltwater solutions and their density.

HOMECOMING Game 7:00pm vs Worland- come out and support the Broncs!

Monday- LAB Porosity

Tuesday- LAB permeability

Wednesday- 4-H Water Presentation

Thursday- Chapter 1 Test- The test will be 25 points, and will cover information found in Lesson 1 Water On Earth, Lesson 2 Surface Water and Lesson 3 Ground Water. The test will be a mix of True/False, Multiple Choice and Matching questions.

Friday- Online Science, and preview of Oceans.
